Weclome to National Overdrive relay month! 200 1986

Just completed a few Volvo related jobs this weekend on Inga. Did Daves water in the lens fix, flushed the Tranny also using Dave Shannon's instuctions. All good stuff by the way. Then got the bottom of a vacuum leak in the dash that caused the defrost vents not work, Hose on the control was loose.

After all of that fired Inga up for a road test and the OD light was on and it sounded like warning buzzer was going off. The warning buzzer was the OD relay singing away. Tried to clean the contacts on the relay with no progress. Pulled the relay and added a jumper from 15 to 87 and it works, no switch or light but on the road test it worked. Anybody ever had a relay do this? I mean that thing sounds like a seat beat buzzer it is so loud. And is there anything wrong with running with this jumper? I never use the OD Switch anyway and can wait until the next P-U-P run if there is not any issues.

Regards,

PT
