ATF Change 200 1992

Hi All,

There was a good thread on this topic back in July and I had a couple quick follow up questions. I have a 1992 240 wagon. Keep in mind I just did my first oil change a couple weeks ago, so I'm wary of screwing things up due to lack of experience.

I have 8 quarts of Pennzoil Dexron III/Mercon ATF. I assume this is what's supposed to be used even though the owners manual mentions Dexron II Type D?

Also some of the posts mentioned needing as much as 12 quarts before seeing bright red ATF coming out. Is this the case for most people or should the 8 quarts I have be enough? I'm not going to drop the pan. Thanks in advance!

Jeff
