Learning experiences 200 1992

>So I have a little bit of work to go I guess before this car is as bulletproof as my 87 was. Maybe it never will be- the price for better economy and emissions compliance is reliability?>

Hmmm, I don't think so. In my experience the late model 240s are no less reliable than slightly earlier ones. With a used vehicle you are sometimes doing catch-up work for years of neglected maintenance and repairs. Hopefully when you get through with the process you should have a reliable vehicle.

Electrical gremlins seem to be causing me the most headaches with our '93 240 right now. Failed tailgate wire warness, multiple failures in the A/C and electric fan controls, crappy headlights. Electrical bits and rubber bits seem to be the main points of failure lately :(.
