Transmission Flush vs. Drain? 200

Thinking about changing the transmission fluid on my 90 automatic 240.

Probably going to do it myself, but called a few places to see if it's just as cheap to have it down.

One guy I spoke to asked whether I wanted a flush or just a drain - from the pan underneath the car.

I've read the procedure for doing this myself and was wondering which was better for the car?

Also, would doing it myself - 2 quarts at a time, from the rad be considered a flush?
