cruise control 200 1990

hello to all forum members, it is always a delight and very informative to peruse the forum. I have an almost rebuilt 240gl/1990 sedan [right hand drive] which takes me into remote areas of Australia i.e. a lot of long distance driving.Everything works incl. A/C! but no cruise control. My question is, is it worth the effort/cost to install OEM from a donor vehicle or go for after market? Have seen the relevant passage in Bentley manual and it looks complicated. Thanks in advance,Stephen.
