Fuel consumption Q:s 700

Hi folks!

My -89 745 GLT 16 valve has gradually been increasing its fuel consumption and with the prices here in Europe, it is of great interest to find the reason. It now takes about 12l/100km compared to 10l/100km like it used to. It has an AW72L transmission.

The CO readings was 0.0%, 0.0%, 0.5% and 0.6% at the inspections the four latest years. I haven't been able to figure out if the increase is due to a bad cat or a increased pre-cat CO level.

I have checked the oxygen sensor and while idling, the voltage swings nicely from 0.2 to 0.8 volts.

There is no obvious exhaust leak before the oxygen sensor.

Vacuum is lower at idle (900 rpm) than at higher rpms. Is this normal for the 16 valve engine? Or is this an indication of a leak?

The engine runs fine and no OBD codes are set (1-1-1 at both tests). A compression test showed around 14-15 bars in every cylinder.

Ideas?
