water pump replacement 140-160

Is that the green Volvo manual? Sounds kinda oversimplified to me.
Be sure and clean the front surface of the block where it bolts up
really well. No gasket or cement particles allowed.
I usually put some grease on the gasket and bolt up one side at the
top and then pry up gently with a big screwdriver against the edge of
the timing cover while I put in the other top bolt and tighten both
enough to hold the top rubber rings compressed against the bottom of
the head (which must also be good and clean). Then install the other bolts
and tighten them. You'll have to take the one on the car's right side
back out to install the water pipe that goes to the heater.
