Need to know how to remove the brake lines? 200 1986

Help,

Not a panic help yet, but help. Finally after the three trips all things require got started removing things by the Hayes manual on the front end, (do not have a Bentley yet). Things are going nicely, things are breaking loose and was getting ready to drop the strut when saw the line, "remove the brake line holder from the strut". My brake lines seem to be well attached to the strut housing. I have the brake caliper flying by wire right now and am in the process of doing the control arm bushings before moving on to the ball joint and tie rod. Then back to the strut and yes the ball joint is attached to the bottom of the strut.

Here is the question, do you take the brake lines loose and rebleed the system. Or I am missing something and is there a way to just take them off without taking them loose?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer,

Regards,

PT
