Which repair/general maintenance to do first? On a budget. 200

hey guys,

i've got a young - 230 000 Kilometer, 1990 that I plan on keeping for awhile. I'd love to hit the 500 000 KM mark that i saw on a similar 90 last week. The car has minimal rust and drives great. It does have a bit of a hard start problem, but other than that, runs great. I'm looking to address a few maintenance things, but due to my student budget can only afford to put about $1000 - $1500 into it over about 3 months. I'm wondering, from the list below, what order should do them in. I'm looking for safety first, then reliability, then performance, then comfort.

Here's what I'd like to accomplish:

fuel pump relay - easy
AMM
fuel pressure regulator
tires - winter
fuel filter
fuel sending unit and in tank - the guage is dead and i can't hear the in tank.
oxygen sensor

any thoughts?

brett
