Sond light is on 200

The Sond light on the dash of my '84 240 GL is on after I had the head gasket go out. I know that it is probably from burning coolant, but would a dead O2 sensor cause hard starting from cold, rough idle, and stalling when cold? I already checked the plastic hose from the AMM to the throttle body ( it has some holes worn through it, but I temporarily fixed with duct tape).
