Key stuck in the ignition between position 0 and 1 900 1993

1993 945 - 173k

After about a 90 minute drive tonight the key is stuck in the ignition. It almost turns to position 0 but it just doesnt get there. This could be a problem as even though I have a 2nd key I dont feel comfortable leaving one in the ignition.

Any immediate help is appreciated.
