Turbo 'off-switch' would this work? 700

I've already considered the other options, and the time, cost, and performance decrease of physically removing the turbo do not appeal to me.

My driving habits pretty much mimic a bus as it is, and I only occasionally enjoy the turbo - and I do mean enjoy.

Perhaps I'm referring to the wrong part of the turbo. There is an airflow bypass that allows exhaust to flow around the turbo, rather than through the impeller and this is the valve I seek to force open, except when I flip the switch.

I appreciate your advice, and I understand the boost gauge (just a fancy vacuum/pressure gauge), but I'm serious about pursuing this project and I want info about how to make it work.
