On the 700/900 FAQ it says you can use the earlier fog light kit to mount into a 1990 and later 740 if you cut the air dam:

Anyone have any experience with this, or mounting aftermarket fogs under bumper?

I want to mount a similar sized lamp PIAA 940. Anyone with experience in this and can offer tips?

Is that OEM style bracket (available widely on web, Ipd)of any use if you are not using the OEM light?

I'm pretty sure the Bosch pilot (OEM) was either 6" x 3 3/8" or 7" x 3 3/8" does anyone happen to know? Its hard to find tech info ion these on the web.
