Incorrect Installation? 120-130 1967

The people in the know, out here on the left coast,
seem to be using GMB U joints, and water pumps.
You just may find the same product,
for a very different price.
I use a vise and sockets to press them in,
as I dislike deforming the metal with a steel hammer.
But the cups will not be against the circlips on one side.
Try a brass hammer,or pad it with alum. for final seating.
Btw there is less chance of having a cup go in crooked,
and score the yoke if you are careful with the vise.
Think I used a 1/2" drive 3/4 &1&1/8 sockets.
Mine was already jam $%&! in so I had to use the vise,
as I was starting to hit it way too hard.
Got out jewelers files to fix the bore.
Then it went in like butter.
Have to disagree with Green Book on that one,
sorry to say.
Kindest Regards,
Ken 145
