Volvo 945 900 1997

I have a Volvo 945 celebration 2.3 turbo 1997-8 (first registered seemingly in 1997 but has a 1998 Vin code and handbook) I am looking for a fuel injection component that is not identified on any of the websites or in the manuals. This is a passive device(no wires) circular with one input and output tube sitting in the fuel line probably some kind of pressure controller or dampener(looks a bit like the inside of a barometer). Mine produces a rattling noise which is transmitted down the fuel line once the engine is warm part number DC5437 970424B

Anyone any ideas?
