I did replace the blower motor in 98 degree Texas heat this year. But my background is electronics and that stuff made sense to me. Did several things wrong on the blower in getting it all back connected, but I did pull it off in about 8 hours of sweat and labor. The one thing did right on the blower was going down to pick ur parts and laying waste to a dash in a donor car. That meant that I had lots of extra screws, clips, and other parts when I went into Inga along with knowledge of how to do it. I still have extra clips for the blower housings in the Volvo drawer on the work bench.
It was the sense of impending doom while brake lines bent and springs were being compressed and things were bending down and out that made me nervous. Maybe I should have done the same on the front end down at the pick ur parts. One of the cars has a set of Bilstiens in it and maybe I needed to practice first.
But I do enjoy doing this, but I also would rather install speakers, rewire a radio, add a fuse, or replace bad volvo crap wiring than removing struts and wailing away with a BFH putting bushings in and out.
Getting prepared for Speedo repair and missing trim next. But now I need to rest and bask in my self declared glory.
