93 wagon rear-ended, broke motor mounts ? 200 1993

I was rear ended on Sunday, when I stopped for the yellow, and the guy behind me wanted to run it. I did not make an aborted attempt, I did not give him any sign that I was going for it.

So he walloped me. His Sentra's hood and grill took on my bumper and they lost, folding up and just scratching the bumper's plastic cover. His bumper went under mine, and took on the factory trailer hitch, bending his into a big V with an impression of the hitch tongue and ball left in the plastic. I had virtually no visible damage - only those scratches on the bumper.

This car is a tank!

But after the cops came and did their thing and gave him a ticket, I found that starting, the engine shook a lot. Driving, I had a bad vibration throughout the car. I only had a few blocks to go to get home, then had it towed today.

I looked under the hood and it looks to me that the motor mounts' rubber is deformed and the engine has shifted backwards about a half-inch. Anyone ever heard of this kind of accident making engines shift ?
