Failed Colorado Inspection, Strange 200

I just failed a Sate inspection for the first time in 20 years with this car, and for the strangest reason. The fuel filler restrictor beneath the gas cap that only allows an unleaded fuel pump nozzle to enter has apparently worn out to the point where their measuring probe will now penetrate the opening, causing the failure. At first I was crushed that my baby was not running well enough to pass emmissions, but the emmissions part of the test passed by a large margin. So, what now? Is there an easy fix for this?
Thanks for your help,
Michael
