Effect of Low Compression on MPG 700 1989

Will, in trying to understand what you have said, may be my post on compressions was misleading?

When I said all cylinders have to be within 2 bar (29 psi), that meant within 2 bar of each other. It did not mean within 29 psi of the 130. 130 is the minimum spec, 159 is the maximum. I have read elsewhere on the board that 145 is the minimum to look for when buying a car, anything below that means major work sooner than you want.

My number 1 and number 4 are way below 130, it is not just 2 and 3 [where you are saying there is a gasket leak].
