960 engine compatiblity?

I put a 95 engine in a 92 960. Some things are slightly different but it works. The newer engines are better because of updated and longer timing belt intervals. Wider belt, damped cam gears, i think. I had to use the 95 computer but it ran fine w/ the 92 ECU but a check engine light would come on because of egr i think. It's been a while… Get the newest, lowest mileage engine you can get for a good price is my advice.
