745 (turbo) gas pedal operation 700

Hi,

the subject of this message looks stupid, but yet I would like to get some comments.

I've got a 1990 745 (Turbo) wagon. When the gas pedal is depressed somewhere
around 3/4 (that's already high RPMs (sorry no number) which I use may be once a day) there is a point of resistance. Applying some more force here results in the overcome of the resistance point and going into the 'full gas' region. Is it characteristic for my model to have this kind of transition point or just a misfunction?

Thanks for the answer,
Wolandir
