Parking Brake not releasing on 960 900

Hi guys

I have had an intermittent brake squeal for a few weeks from the rear while driving, not just while braking.

I think I have isolated the problem to occuring only after I have had the parking brake on. The lever has always felt kind of loose and does not seem to do much until its raised 95% of the way.

I am assuming the brake is not being released properly and thus the pads are squealing.

Anything a novice can try to fix it or do I have to take it to the shop?

Cheers
Murph
