I have to admit, I've never done one of those front-end replacements - but from the other posts here is seems doable. I hope the fender-width dimensions checked out - I posted them at the bottom of this thread last night.

I'd take the $2000 and rebuild the front, and see how much money you can have left over after for other stuff.

You might have to drive somewhere for a good junkyard, from what you wrote earlier. I think if you can solve the parts-supply problem, you're all set.

The devil you know - - - any other car will give you new, unknown things to fix, within the first two weeks of driving it. BTDT.
