odd door hinge component - is it available? 900 1993

So I'm opening the driver's side door of my 940 today, and POP! - the part of the lower hinge that moves against the little cogs to regulate the door opening/closing splits in two and hits the pavement. It's that curved 'candy cane' shaped piece of metal, giving up the ghost after 210,000 miles.

So now the door swings open freely and rapidly (hitting gas station islands, errant pedestrians, fences, etc...) and closes freely and rapidly (trapping fingers, catching hair and other miscellaneous body parts). It's amazing how such a little piece of metal can make a difference in a car's engineering!

My question - how do I find a replacement? It's not listed on any of the websites; the closest I can get is a complete hinge assembly for a 740 (not sure if it's compatible). It looks like the piece is just held in by tension, so I'd rather not replace the whole hinge if I can help it!
