Info on a '74 144S 140-160

i would disagree with the power steering being un desirable. i enjoyed it in all the 140's i have had with it. the steering ratio is much better and you can get rid of the boat wheel and still not have to strugle in a parking lot. i have had more problems with the manual racks going bad than the power ones.

agreed on the rust with the cars assembeled in belgium. those nosel keikens didn't do a very good job at puting rust preventitive on. the swedish asembeled ones i've had did very well with the rust, the 74 i drove as a dd for the last 15 years bairly has any rust. i see more rust on 90' 240's than it has.
