Another thing that the car has been doing very intermittently is stalling at idle. It just stops as if the key was turned off. I can restart it immediately. I tried fiddling with the ignition switch, but it doesn't seem to affect it. Also checked the fuel pump fuse and contact, the coil contacts and all seem tight. Could the stalling and fast idle be connected in some way?
