220 WAGON REAR DIFF 120-130 1966

George,
Got around to checking it out tonight on stands.

No, it's not supposed to be a special diff, just the stock one. Not an LSDtrip or anything.

When I jack both wheels and put it in gear, I turn one wheel and the other turns the opposet direction, however, not always, and deffinately does not turn the same angular distance as the one I am turning.

With it in neutral, turning one wheel turns the driveshaft.

I did not jack only one up and have the car in gear.

With both wheels on the ground, the starter turning, the driveshaft moves and the car does not.

I'm thinking bad rear. I should be taking the back cover off and checking it out. Sound consistant?

Jim
