U-joint question 444-544

A few points -

1. Grease is cheap, squirt some more in.

Mark the cap where the grease comes out

2. Move the driveshaft to a new position 90 degrees or so away from where you greased it. *** CAUTION - MAKE SURE THE CAR WON'T MOVE OFF ITS SUPPORTS WHEN YOU DO THIS *** The move may cause the grease to enter differently.

3. Take the car for a ride and try again, have the joint still warm if you can.
(You might be able to slip under the car without lifting it)

4. Try again after a shorter interval than normal service would dictate. The grease you put in will dry a bit and might cause a better distribution through the other caps.
