240 won't start 200

I'm going to look at an '88 240 sedan tomorrow that's for sale. The owner says that it quit while driving and won't restart. It's been a while since I've tested components on a 240, so can someone give me a quick review ( like how to bypass the fuel pump relay and get the pumps to run ). The owner says that he tried a known good 544 computer, but that didn't make it start. Hopefully I can find out more when I look at it tomorrow.
