Intermittant stalling problem...mechanics can't diagnose problem 200 1992

I have a 92 245 wagon automatic in excellent condition with many parts replaced.

As of late the car has an intermittant stalling problem. Sometimes it will happen when I back it out of the driveway (engine is cold) and shift to drive. But most of the time it doesn't happen until I get a couple of blocks away. I'll pull up to a stop sign and as I get closer and start slowing down, it begins to run rough and then stalls.

Then when I try to start it right away it won't start. Sometimes it will start after 5 or 10 minutes. My wife claims she stalled it then waited 10 minutes .She held the pedal to the floor and no start, then she pumped it still no start but it sounded as though it wanted to. Then she lightly pressed on the gas and it started.

A Volvo mechanic could not get the car to stall but replaced the fuel pump relay, and engine speed sensor. That didn't do it. A different Volvo mechanic whom I called afterwards told me he thought it would be a fuel pressure regulator since it happened when cold. I replaced it and it ran fine for several days but today it stalled again. We did get a lot of rain today but it stalls in any weather. Also, the mechanics sprayed water on the distributor cap and they say that was OK.

My wife saw a few drops of water dripping in the fuse box tonight. She seems to think it may be a fuse but the mechanics checked them and said they were OK.

I don't know what to do next. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance!
