Dealer Engine Mount Overpriced??? 200 1987

Hello,

I was to buy an OEM engine mount for my 87 240DL(nonturbo) supposedly, but went home empty handed head shaking from the dealer. Beforehand I called for a price check they said $63+- on both side, so I said Ok I'll be there after work. But when I got in they said $113 & $97 for both. What? for those small pieces of rubber? They said, the first price was a mistake and those are for turbo engine. I did exchange a few words and went out shocked.

My question to someone who had done this job lately with OEM parts is, Is this true? Any place in the Internet where to buy them? or a brand with almost equal quality? or I'll just replace them with aftermarket brand price ranging from $7 to $15 & hope for the best eventhough there are cases of bad experiences from others in this forum.

Lastly, any technique how to replace them properly? Sorry, this will be my first time after 225k miles on my old faithfull and after noticing that the oil filter is already rubbing with the colapsed rubber mount when I did my 5K oil changed this weekend.

Thanks! for any input.

Gil C.
