wiper systems 444-544

My response is only based on my reference documents and experience, so don't consider it definitive!

I do not see any mention of a 2-speed PV windshield wiper motor. I can confirm that my 6 volt Amazon-S does have 2 speed operation.

Interestingly, the 12 volt wiper motor, used in a late 145 and 245 looks almost identical to the PV wiper motor. The crank pin is permanently mounted to the motor's output shaft (the 145 crank pin was a separate part). The other interesting observation is the 245 motor is 2 speed. I recently confirmed this by connecting a 2 speed switch (with washer function) to the wiper motor and it did work on 2 speeds. This implies that if the crank pin is compatible with the PV union links (interior metal arms) then you could technically install a 2 speed wiper motor, with washer function into a PV - theoretically!

Here's a picture of what I believe is a 245 wiper motor with the crank pin and a 2-speed switch - notice the 5 terminals on the motor.

and here's the jig I constructed to test the operation.
