Only in Modesto do you get hit and... 700

90 740T
I was looking at my tire the other day, for pressure and deciding that I couldn't put off having the ball joint replaced any longer (edges are scrubbing), and I noticed a new spot of MAACO paint peeling away above my corner/signal light.
Looking more closely, I noticed a scratch in the center. I also noticed that my corner light had a piece cracked off it.

"Well," I thought, "I suppose I get to replace the other corner light too (I replaced the driver's already)... but how did it stay attached?"

I was examining the front of the light and noticed it seemed to have become very cracked throughout recently.
It was then I noticed the blue gummy adhesive that had been used to readhere my lens to the reflector.

And then it clicked. Someone hit my car, knocking off the parking lens, and reattached it using what I assume is blue silicone RTV. WOW.
And people wonder why I hate this town.

Anyone else got any stories like this?
