Re-soldering Fuel Relay 1991 240 200

Thanks for everyones help on the Brickboard. I think that I am close to solving the problem of getting my brick going again after it shut down on me as I was leaving the parking lot. It just died while I was driving and I have been unable to get it to start.

Today I re-soldered over the suggested areas on the fuel relay. I plugged it back in and then as soon as I reconnected the battery back, I heard what sounded like a hissing sound coming from the fuel pressure regulator and the key was not even in the ignition. Strange. I went ahead and jump-started the car as the battery had worn down after I had made so many past attepmts to start the car over the past month or more. Good news! It started up and I left it running to recharge the battery. However, it cut off after a few minutes. This did give me hope in that the problem does seem to be with the fuel relay.

Do you think that the hissing sound on the fuel pressure regulator was because I created a bridge between the contacts on the relay when I soldered it? I have never noticed this sound before when the car was staring up as it should. What kind of serious problems can you create by bridging over on some of the soldered contacts?

Thanks
