I'm not a fan of the old technology brass and solder radiators IPD sells as a "heavy duty" unit. I used to think that these were superior, but time and experience tells me that they don't seem to last as long as the factory units. Hard to believe, but aluminum and plastic seem to be the way to go.

I'm not sure if yours needs to be replaced or not, but if it did and were mine I would get the Valeo (an original equipment manufacturer) unit which can be found from multiple aftermarket sources. eeuroparts.com has them for $120. alleurasianautoparts.com says $114. Both include shipping.

Or you can get a real live Volvo unit for $160 from myswedishparts.com.
