thanks fo the answer, I would probably go for "plastic&aluminium" now rather than "heavy duty" stuff. I would not like to wait for "eventually fails" however... I would guess if the radiator fails and there is excessive coolant loss on the way, it might end up with a towing situation. I listed the sympthoms of my 745 in the original message. I do not know how bad they are. Also, someone suggested that getting better cooling would increase MPG, which my wagon is bad on.
