Not a brick, but I'm stuck. Anyone know fan removal on a Jeep? 200

Sorry to post here, but I am stuck trying to help a very nice lady change the water pump on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 I6. I can't find a Jeep forum that seems to be any use at all, but maybe the BrickBoard has spoiled me.

Can't find a way to hold the water pump from turning in order to get the big nut holding the fan to loosen. Even with belt on, the pulley just slips on the belt and everything turns. Even tried new belt, but still slips. There has to be a trick to this.

Thanks for any help you can give.
