How do I get the rear bushings out? 200 1992

I jacked up the brick yesterday and replaced the shocks w/ KYB Gas-a-Just and changed the brake pads. I was planning on replacing the torque and track rod bushings but when I got the track rod off I couldn't get the bushings out. I know you need a special tool for the trailing arm bushings, but figured I'd be ok with the others. After a 1/2 hour hammering at the track rod I gave up. I'm miffed that I wasn't able to do the whole job in one go.

I wasn't able to find any posts about removing these bushings but figure it must be common. Any advice? Maybe a c-clamp and some proper diameter pipes?
