940 radio no AM

The stock radio crapped out in my '85 940 SW and, unwilling to pay for a Volvo radio, put in one from Circuit City about ten years ago. Tried several, couldn't get any AM (FM works fine). Time marches on.

This year the first Circuit City crapped out and bought another (different brand) and the AM still doesn't work. This SW has the antenna in the back side glass.

Not a burning issue but would be nice to have.
