I believe the rear discs are now available with the ATE Power slots. An additional nice feature is when the grooves wear away you can easily tell it's time to replace them.

The green volvo factory brake manual from volvotechinfo.com is reasonably priced and a nice aid in doing the job. Now may also be a good time to change the break fluid.
