Clocks Versus Tachometers 200

Hello. '86 sedan stck shift. As previously reported my clock(I have large one on left side of cluster)has stopped working. I have a replacement on its way. In any case now I am thinking to put a tachometer in also. What are my options ? I know that either a large clock or a tachometer can go on left side of cluster. If I recall tachometer is just 1x wire. The one that if you have clock goes unused. Red I think. However can I put a tachometer or a clock(or both ?) right of cluster where I now have 2x blanks atop each other ? If so how do I wire them in ? Thanks & Happy Halloween to all.
