George,
I found the rubber stem seal, spring and it's metal clip. I put it back in place already, pretty neat.
There does not appear to be a spring seat, at least not found. I understand how the keepers work and now, how to get the spring compressed (I hope). I still have not removed the rocker arm shaft (6 bolts). I am going to NAPA this afternoon and see if they can get me the parts - spring and keeper.
I am shocked my mechanic won't do this. I am loosing trust in him.
