Please... not the rack. 700

That sounds better than the rack and the noise is audible in the car. It seems to happen at one point in particular when I am turning in only one direction.

I had the upper strut bearings replaced last year and when they were replaced, the originals were thrown out, but the mechanic said he didn't think they needed to be replaced.

I'll see if I can get under it and check the tie rod ends too, and I just remembered today that my sway bar bushings appear a little worn (on both sides).

I just bought the beck/arnley brake pads and shims for my car with Girling front rotors (FCP carries them, they're just mixed in with the other girling parts, apart from the shims for the Bendix). The pads on closeout for 10$.
