1983 speedometer question 200

Okay, here's the deal. I bought this '83 245 wagon about a month ago. Shortly after that the odometer quit working. Well, since I'm aware of the fact that these cars are prone to this I wasn't too concerned about it especially since I have a spare out of my '82. So I swap these out and after about 2 weeks the speedometer needle starts spazzing out below 25 MPH. It bounces around all over the place. Once it's above 25 MPH it would smooth out and would be fine....until today when it finally quit. The odometer seems to be working just fine just now the speedometer needle is dead. I can hear something spinning around inside as I go down the road. Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas? Is there a repair kit I can buy to fix this? As always, any and all input is greatly appreciated.
