Anyone used dynamat to quite down their 240? 200 1980

I've got a 1980 245 that's been great, but I'd really like a way to quiet down the ride and emulate the feel and sound of a new Volvo. I've begun looking into dynamat and other sound deadening foam pads to reduce vibration and road noise. Has anyone done this to their 240? How much of the car did you do? Did it work? Thanks!
