Parking Lights Puzzle 140-160

1972 142E. When I step on the brakes not only does the breaklight come on, but the side markers and the front (white) parking lights as well. Head and tail lights function normally. I assumed I had a short or bare wires touching somewhere, but damned if I can find the spot. My wiring diagram tells me that the brake lights and parking lights are on different circuits. Brake lights are on fuse #7, parking lights on #8. One theoretical connection I can find would be at the clock, where the clock light comes off #8 and the clock itself off #7, but I don't have a clock. Another possibility might be the hazzard flasher, which is fed through fuse #7 as well and also actuates the parking lights, at least, at the moment it does.
Anyone have a clue?
