Of ignitions and alternators 120-130 1960

Hello Folks...Imm Back again to learn from the Volvo guru's. Since my last post, i have put on a new exhaust, four shocks, balanced the carbs, checked all electrical connections, snugged up the alt. belt, fixed the seatbelt, adjusted the passenger door latch, removed the funny lookin garden hose valve, got the heater fan working and the defroster working.

As i mentioned before, i have a surging problem with the electrical charging system. It does quiet down a bit after the car has warmed up a bit. My thinking has led me to an alternator upgrade. Did some looking around and searching this fine board on the subject. I was wondering if any know specificaly what alt. will fit a B20 without a whole lot of modification? i kinda think a hundred bux is a lot of money to spend on a bracket kit. My current alt (haha) is a bosch unit.

Secondly, i have a points dizzy in the car. it has no vacuum advance can on it. i would like to do the pertronix thing to it. My meager research has led me to this one http://pertronix.carshopinc.com/product_info.php/products_id/95/1847A Do you folks think this is the correct one? and on a related note, how do you folks hook one of these up? I know it is only a two wire deal and i know where to hook them on most cars,,,,However ....the volvo coil only has one post accessible. where can i pick up the other wire? Fuse box?

As always i look forward to all advice, comment and input.

Thanx
mark
