V-6 engines B6304 v B280 700

I may have the numbers very wrong, but I think that both of those engines were offered by Volvo in the 760 and 780 respectively.

Which is the PVR (Peugot, Volvo, Renault) engine that tends to die (before 150K miles?) and which is the one that was offered in the 780's that was fairly robust?

I believe the 6304 was the PVR and the 280 was the volvo, but I saw an article recently that stated both were the same and I'd like to actually know because as you all probably know, this is the most curious cat ever...
