turn signals on 1992 240 200 1992

I love my 240 and would like to know more about how to fix the little things . . . especially wiring problems, which are frequent.

The latest deal is that the turn signals have stopped working altogether (both the dashboard indicator and the actual external signal lights). This happened over the course of a few days -- they first flickered in and out, then went mostly out, now are completely out. I'd like to try to fix this myself if I can, although I'll hand it over to a professional if the only fix involves messing with the airbag.

What should I try first? Does anyone have any ideas for learning to figure out the 240 electrical system?

Thanks! An interesting side note is that, just when the turn signals stopped working, the red seatbelt warning light near the radio started coming on intermittently.
