240 parking brake mystery part 200 1990

It would appear I have a mystery part in my emergency brake assembly. It is a vertical spacer that holds the emergency brake shoes apart. It is a flat bar, about 4" long, 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick, with a notch in each end that mates with the notches in the shoes. It has no moving parts, and is remarkably simple in appearance.

I have had this same mystery part in my '84 240, my '86 240, my parents '90 740, and currently my '90 240.

However, my Volvo dealer has no idea what it is, nor, would it seem the national office knows. Instead, they are trying to sell my a two-part adjusting device with sleeve, at $70 a side.

While I think I can salvage one from my donor, does anyone know its official "Volvo" name and/or part number?

Thanks so much!
